A Quick Breakdown of Your Trip, Day by Day

  • Day 1

    Stonetown walking tour & Dinner at The Box

    (4-5 hours) Get acquainted with Stonetown during the 2-3 hour guided walking tour through the winding roads of Stonetown. Remember to dress modestly as you traverse some of Zanzibar's oldest neighborhoods. Enjoy the Karibu Karamu (Welcome Dinner) at Stonetown's premier spot for expatriates to gather - The Box by Ashley.Maybe.

  • Day 2

    Spend the day at Busara

    Sauti za Busara is a vibrant African music festival held annually in Stone Town, Zanzibar. Celebrated for its diverse lineup of artists from across the continent, the festival showcases a mix of traditional and contemporary African sounds, including taarab, bongo flava, Afrobeat, reggae, and more. Known for its electrifying live performances, cultural parades, and engaging workshops.

  • Day 3

    Spice Farm tour with cooking class and lunch

     (3-4 hours) After an hour long ride, you will experience why Zanzibar is fondly referred to as the "Spice Island." Tour a Spice Farm and enjoy a cooking class/food preparation demonstration and lunch.  Local dishes will be served.  Spices will be available for purchase.

  • Day 4

    Nakupenda Island visit + lunch

    In the afternoon (3:00pm - 6:30pm), take a 30-minute boat ride to Nakupenda (I Love You) Island. Enjoy a seafood lunch and refreshing juices while relaxing on white sand beaches. Adult beverages can be added for a fee.

  • A Day in Arusha

    Days 5

    A Day in Arusha

    Fly to Arusha and learn about its rich history. Check out a hot spring, spend the afternoon visiting with the littles ones at the Asmara Children's Center 

  • Day 6

    Safari at Tarangarie National Park

    Spend 4-5 hours on a game drive searching for the Big 5.

    Day 7

    Visit a Maasai village + return to Zanzibar

    Learn about the Maasai of East Africa during 1-2 hour visit. You will have a chance to purchase hand-crafted jewelry made by Maasai women.

    Choose your own adventure, find other activities/excursions, sit around the pool, get a cup of tea from a local coffeehouse, or catch some sun on the beach.
